Who are we?

CEDAA, Collaborative Eating Disorder Awareness is a not for profit organization that aims in bringing a better understanding of eating disorders. We want to help and support individuals who have been directly and indirectly affected by all types of eating-related disorders and create safe spaces to share experiences

What are Eating Disorders?

As defined by the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC), eating disorders comprise a group of mental illnesses commonly characterized by an intense fixation on food that keeps affected individuals from fully enjoying life. Eating disorders are incredibly complex and diverse and may manifest themselves in an individual in unique ways.

Our main goal is to spread awareness, you can help us achieve this through donations, volunteering or simply giving us a follow on our social media.
We have big ambitions; we want to fund research opportunities, provide scholarships, and be a source of high-quality and insightful data regarding eating disorders.
Based in Edmonton, AB, our charity targets Canada. Our student groups affiliates are present at MacEwan University, University of Alberta, and McMaster University.
